Contributions from generous individuals, foundations, corporations and government entities directly support all of ArtsQuest’s arts, culture and education programs and special initiatives and affirm the mission of building community through the arts. The ArtsQuest Foundation seeks donations for immediate general support of ArtsQuest, as well as endowment gifts to sustain these programs for generations to come.
ARTSQUEST FOUNDATION FUNDS
ArtsQuest is a multi-faceted organization that offers over 1,200 arts, culture, and education programs annually. While unrestricted gifts to support the organization are greatly appreciated, we recognize that some of our donors may wish to offer sustaining support to programs in which they have a special interest. To that end, we have created four permanent endowment funds, along with the ArtsQuest General Support Fund, which is not an endowment fund. If you have questions about these funds, please contact us.
Any gifts to the foundation that are not specifically designated will be placed in the ArtsQuest General Support Fund. Any gifts to the foundation that are designated for endowment will be placed in the Legacy Fund unless otherwise directed.
This fund is designed to receive gifts from donors, to invest the unused portion of the fund and to pay out the funds to ArtsQuest as needed for the general support of ArtsQuest including seed money for new programs, capital asset purchases (furniture, fixtures and equipment) for the Banana Factory and SteelStacks Campuses, maintaining buildings and property like the Levitt lawn, the Air Products Town Square and PNC Plaza, annual operating expenses, debt reduction and to sustain the organization in the event of any temporary financial difficulties as it has experienced periodically during its existence.
The Legacy Fund supports ArtsQuest and all of its programs by providing unrestricted support for the organization. Revenues generated by the fund will be used to underwrite the on going expenses of the organization so that it can sustain its buildings and campuses, as well as the staff and overhead that are much needed to operate the hundreds of arts, cultural and education programs that ArtsQuest offers to the community.
The Musikfest and Performing Arts Fund supports the performing arts programs of ArtsQuest, including our leading event, Musikfest. Revenues generated from this fund will help to underwrite the hundreds of live performances offered annually by ArtsQuest to the community through festivals and concerts at SteelStacks including the Levitt Pavilion, while supporting access to the arts for members of our community as well as professional development of regional performing artists.
The Visual Arts Fund supports the visual arts programming of ArtsQuest, which includes gallery exhibits at ArtsQuest’s campuses, programs that support regional visual artists like the artists studios at the Banana Factory, public art programs and installations and art classrooms like the Glass Studio at the Banana Factory.
The Education and Scholarship Fund supports scholarships for adults and children for classes, camps and workshops offered by ArtsQuest, plus educational programs both in regional public and private schools and at the Banana Factory including arts curriculum classes, after school enrichment programs and summer programs for youth. Only through philanthropic support will ArtsQuest be able to continue it’s tradition of offering full scholarships to adults and children in need for all visual arts classes, camps and workshops.
